Biology Year 7 - Reproduction in Human Males
NOTE: We were also made aware of the ureter, epididymis, glans and pubic bone. All of the definitions and positions in the reproductive system are outlined below.
Ureter
This tube is not shown on the diagram. It carries urine down from the kidneys and into the bladder.
Epididymis
This is not shown on the diagram. It acts as a storage facility for sperm, and is located directly next to each of the testes and the sperm duct.
Scrotum
These hold the testes in place.
Sperm Duct
These carry the sperm to the Urethra, past the glands.
Glans
The tip of the penus. (Not shown on diagram)
Foreskin
The protection for the penus.
Urethra
Releases wee or sperm (semen).
Glands (Seminal, Prostate)
Adds sugar and water (adds energy).
Pubic Bone
This is not shown on the diagram, and is used as a way to support all of the tubes. It is located at the junction between the two sperm ducts, the bladder and the urethra.
