About the Animal Kingdom
Animals are multi-cellular organisms. They are divided as follows:
VERTEBRATES (ALL HAVE A BACKBONE):
- Mammals - Hair (fur) & Mammary Glands
- Birds - Feathers & Shelled Eggs
- Reptiles - Usually have Shelled Eggs
- Amphibians - No scales & eggs are laid in water
- Fish - Scales & Gills & eggs are laid in water
- Arthropods - Exoskeleton & Jointed legs
- Annelids - Segmented body
- Molluscs - Soft body & may have shells
About the Plant KingdomMost plants have chlorophyll present in chloroplasts. There are pigments in plants, making them appear green but also absorbing light. They can also photosynthesise and they all have roots.
